Daniel Island

Daniel Island

We are so pleased with the finished look of The Daniel Island Community Recreation Center in Charleston, South Carolina! This fast-tracked project was completed in 18 months, courtesy of the City of Charleston, after extensive consultation with residents and community groups.

This Club is located within a 4000-acre community, featuring historic and picturesque views from the surrounding acres of parks and creeks. Daniel's Island upholds its reputation of first-class service and state-of-the-art facilities, offering a wide variety of activities to residents such as elegant dining rooms, aquatics, fitness centres, tennis courts, croquet, and even cottages.

The island's central downtown does include the more traditional amenities of schools, churches, shops, restaurants, and medical offices.

This 11,974 square-foot structure represents the Trespa® Meteon® NW25 HesbaniaTrespa® Meteon® NW28 Halmstad, and Trespa® Meteon® A05.0.0 Pure White. The Trespa® colors will stand up to the harsh coastal salty air, requiring zero maintenance allowing the facility to be as beautiful as it was in the rendering and for the lifetime of the building.

We are certain that the material choice of Trespa® will meet Rush Dixon's expectation quoted 3 years ago: “The building material choice and detailing are selected and will be designed to align with the quality level of Daniel Island and durability requirements of a public building.”

Thanks to Trespa's decorative high-pressure compact laminate (HPL), the structure can now sustain the island weather due to the integral surface manufactured using Trespa's unique in-house technology, Electron Beam Curing (EBC). Longevity and low maintenance costs being an additional bonus for a place housing some of the best.
